A split occurs, maybe only once, or many times over on a Woman’s path. The moment of rupture from Maiden to Mother, or heartbreak, or soul break, or Midlife Crisis, or like a dynamite, or an Ego death... See it as a fork in the road or as a lightening bolt, “crisis” ~ offering life-giving momentum for a massive shift…

When Her eyes have opened to something truer bigger bolder within her ~ it offers heat. To use it for change, or not, is a choice in itself. Her life, or parts of it, up to that point, have been built upon her need for survival and love, at all cost…; the awakening to all the parts of Her life that are laced with a grief for the betrayal of the self. It once served Her, but the times have changed, the stakes are high and the masks must come off. The Inner Crone speaks in whispers in the body, and her pull is subtle ~ We cannot skip this part, or jump ahead. And if you’re going too fast, you’ll miss Her and you will grip to things outside of you for nourishment, fulfillment...you will outsource until you speak the words

“I AM MY OWN ORACLE, and I am here NOW”.

She is right here, where She has always been, and will always be…

By embodying what is true within in this moment, and holding it in our bodies, and then up for us to see ~ it is the opposite of working with Archetypes.

We are placing our Selves on the Altar!!!

A merging of the embodiment and the visual form ~ is the visual expression a match to the embodied sensation being channeled? Then, if embodiment is free of the mind, how deep and true is the embodiment? This is embodied ART.

This is a practice of looking to Her for guidance, your next move, the next thing to cut out, the next room to enter, the rooms to exit, the next stepping stone on our path, this is your SOUL speaking and she is giving you your permissions.

…feeling Her completely in the body, embracing ourselves wholly, seeing the conditions we may have held upon ourselves to prevent Her from emerging, humbling ourselves to the work still ahead of us, and an honouring for the growth this far…

. This is a practice of love and trust; of compassion and acceptance for yourself, unconditionally. This is a practice of facing realities and resistance, limitations, mimicking and smallness, and having the courage and audacity to look deeper, and make it match without hiding.

This practice is a portal for massive shifts. It has the potential to scratch your creative itch, a place to transmute your stories and your pain, and also the power to show you who you truly are, who you are not, and your unique blueprint manifested in human form.

Held at THE GREENHOUSE Venue on Strawberry Lane, Somerset Nova Scotia

The gardens will be in FULL bloom!!!! That is why I chose this location, and this time of year…because THAT’S how I want you to feel!!!

Limited spaces available

This workshop is for all levels!!

You will need a camera (point and shoot or DSLR, NO phones), a tripod and a remote if you have one.

Basic knowledge of your equipment is ideal, as this workshop isn’t focused on the technical aspects of Self Portraiture. I will give tip and tricks, but I won’t teach on the techy stuff too much.

I will also be photographing myself, demonstrating, alongside you ~ but also weaving and available to you while you shoot.

Each attendee will get their portrait taken by me, if they desire, as well as a group portrait of the Women melting together in beauty and in each other.

I will have wardrobe pieces available to feel through, play and create with.

The group will be moved to an online container for a short time after this in-person workshop; to integrate, share the art that you will create, and space for deeper study, curiosity and questions.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Registrations are non-refundable, unless the event is cancelled or postponed (in this case you can request a refund or transfer to the next date). 

Your space is non-refundable, but you can transfer your spot to another woman.

~ The Greenhouse is a sanctuary to experience peace and beauty ~ the forest, meadow and garden will serve as inspiration and as a guide for us.

~ The Greenhouse is OFFGRID (without power), however there is one portable washroom on site.

~ I will bring some light snacks for us to nibble, but please bring extra nourishment for yourself throughout the day.
